Fire Alarm Engineer

Fire Alarm Engineer required. Our client is a FIA and BAFE approved NSI Gold Fire & Security company that specialise in CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarms. They are now looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer to join the team due to the growth of the business.

Successful candidates will be happy performing an installation and service-based role covering Fire alarm systems.

Fire Alarm Engineer Position Overview

• Completing all new installations and maintenance of Fire Alarm and security systems to BAFE/NSI/BS standards according to design drawings and specifications.
• Commission and Service Fire Alarm systems and associated products at client sites, and taking responsibility for the maintenance of these systems
• Carrying out alterations (modifications) of existing Fire Alarms
• Testing and Inspecting Fire Alarm Systems
• Complete small and larger installations as part of a team or on your own
• Servicing and diagnostic repairs to various Fire Alarm systems
• Complete reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Conducting Repairs
• Fault Finding
• RAMs - preparation of risk assessments and method statements
• Ensuring inspection records are correctly recorded

Fire Alarm Engineer Position Requirements

• 2-3 years experience within a similar position advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Must be able to pass a full DBS check
• BS 5839-1 Fire detection and Fire Alarm systems for buildings. (Non-domestic properties)
• Knowledge of GENT, Protec , Kentec,, Morley, Hyfire, Ziton, Advanced Electronics.
• Worked within a BAFE / SSAIB / NSI certified company.
• Knowledge and compliance of British standards and all fire safety codes and regulations

Fire Alarm Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary: £33,000 as a starting point for experienced engineers, £26,000- £28,000 for those with limit experience
• Holiday Package: 23 days + 8BH
• Company Van and fuel card (personal use allowed)
• Tablet, company mobile, laptop and uniform provided
• Overtime available
• Call out rota (1 in 3 weeks, Friday- Friday)
• Bonus structure
• Paid door to door travel
• Pension
