SalaryA Fire Alarm Systems Maintenance Manager is required to join the estates team at a large educational establishment for an initial 6 month contract. The role is to plan, programme, allocate and supervise Fire alarm, Emergency Lighting, Security Systems and other extra low voltage maintenance and improvement work as required. You will be managing 12 technicians who are responsible for the maintenance of the Fire Alarm and emergency lighting systems across campus.
Duties:
- To assist the Facilities Maintenance and Compliance unit to effectively direct and manage all resources allocated to the Extra Low Voltage Systems (ELVS) team
- Supervise an allocated team of technical and manual in house staff and contract labour responsible for a range of maintenance and improvements of Extra low voltage systems
- Responsible day-on-day for allocating and supervising maintenance and improvement work, ensuring efficient and safe operation to the highest achievable standard.
Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent City & Guilds.
- FIA or BAFE Fire Alarm accreditations.
- Experience of managing a team of technical staff, ideally Fire Alarm maintenance.
- Thorough working knowledge of BS 5839-1.
- Thorough working knowledge of BS 5266-1.
- Significant vocational experience in Fire Alarm and or emergency lighting maintenance.
