What’s your role in Society?

We are currently looking for an experienced Fire and Access Consultant to join our Building Standards team in Dublin.

What does the role involve?

Our highly qualified and experienced team deliver projects in a cooperative, inclusive and cost-effective way offering extra value and reassurance to our clients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Business Unit Manager in meeting the financial targets of the business by ensuring projects are invoiced in a timely manner and in accordance with the agreed scope of services. 
  • Communicating by meetings and correspondence with other team members, including Fire Offices, Building Control Offices and other statutory organisations, clients, client representatives/agents and client design teams. 
  • Competently providing Fire and disability Fire and disability access services and associated services on a timely basis, including preparation and issue of all reports, design calculations and specification documentation.
  • Seeking new and repeat business for the company during the course of work, ensuring care is at the forefront of our work. 
  • Mentoring and coaching colleagues in the their technical development. 
  • Contributing to the corporate business development of the company and the company's systems of work, seeking quality management and efficiently working to the highest standards within the industry. 

What do you need to be successful in the role?

You'll have a degree in Fire Engineering (Bachelors or Masters) and be either chartered or working towards, along with experience as a Fire Disability Access Consultant for projects in Ireland. You'll have gained experience liaising with Local Authorities and obtaining Statutory Certificates for FSC and DAC as well as experience across the project lifecycle, incorporating a variety of sectors.

You'll be able to demonstrate the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, have excellent communication skills and a valid driving licence.
