Fire Engineer

​We are proud to be partnering with an award-winning multi-disciplined surveying consultancy firm, who are looking to appoint a Fire Engineer on a permanent contract.

This will be a full-time position based in Kent and a salary of around £60,000 to £100,000 per annum based on experience for the role.

The ideal candidate will hold memberships with Institute of Fire Safety Managers & Institution of Fire Engineers, a chartered Engineer and hold a full UK driving license.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting the client in RAG assessing their stock and understanding their potential liabilities

• Reviewing information relating to fire safety that the client has accrued for their buildings to date and advising them of its suitability

• Conducting Fire Risk Assessments both internally and externally inline with current industry guidance and compiling detailed reports

• Providing CPD to clients making them aware of their obligations as building owners

• Peer-reviewing reports from the other Fire Engineers as requested

• Working with the project team to produce cost effective, pragmatic remedial solutions where possible

• Attending client/residential meetings when required to explain reports that have been issued and the implications of the findings

Experience required:

• Strong knowledge of Approved Document B

• Memberships in IFSM, IFE

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
