We are proud to be partnering with an award-winning multi-disciplined surveying consultancy firm, who are looking to appoint a Fire Engineer on a permanent contract.
This will be a full-time position based in Kent and a salary of around £60,000 to £100,000 per annum based on experience for the role.
The ideal candidate will hold memberships with Institute of Fire Safety Managers & Institution of Fire Engineers, a chartered Engineer and hold a full UK driving license.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Assisting the client in RAG assessing their stock and understanding their potential liabilities
Reviewing information relating to fire safety that the client has accrued for their buildings to date and advising them of its suitability
Conducting Fire Risk Assessments both internally and externally inline with current industry guidance and compiling detailed reports
Providing CPD to clients making them aware of their obligations as building owners
Peer-reviewing reports from the other Fire Engineers as requested
Working with the project team to produce cost effective, pragmatic remedial solutions where possible
Attending client/residential meetings when required to explain reports that have been issued and the implications of the findings
Experience required:
Strong knowledge of Approved Document B
Memberships in IFSM, IFE
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
