Job: Fire Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + car allowance
1st Select are working in partnership with an award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit a Fire Engineer in the Birmingham area.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Designing retrospective fire strategies and conducting hazard analysis
- Drawing up refurbishment and new build strategies
- Analysing fire risk and providing fire safety advice
- Working across a range of industries to address fire safety issues
- Regularly liaising with the client and communicating to co-ordinate inspections
About our client:
Our client is responsible for fire consultancy works throughout the entire building lifecycle – this can range from the design stage up until occupants are present within the premises. Your contributions can vary from fire strategies and building designs to fire risk assessments dependent on your levels of experience.
The successful candidate will require:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with fire safety design
- Associate membership with the Institute of Fire Engineers minimum
- A registration with the Engineering Council or working towards doing so
- A degree in fire safety or fire risk engineering
- A complete understanding of current fire safety legislation including the Building Regulations and the Regulatory Reform Order.
