Fire Risk Assessor - Local Authority

We are seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our clients team based in Cambridge on a contract basis for 3+ months.

Location: CB4 0GU
Start date: ASAP
Contract duration: 3+ months
Working hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours p/w
Pay rate: 20.31 p/h PAYE or 22.76 p/h Umbrella

As the Fire Risk Assessor, your duties will include:

• Ensure all fire associated accidents and incidents are fully investigated, appropriately reported and that appropriate effective and timely corrective action is taken in response.
• Act as the Department's technical expert in all fire related matters and act as the first point of contact in such matters for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide advice, support and training to managers and staff across the Department to inform and assist them in the fulfilment of their fire associated compliance responsibilities.

Skills and experience:

• Extensive experience of working in Fire Risk management in a built environment including stock surveying and risk assessment (ideally including working for a substantial period for the Fire Brigade Service).
• Professional qualification in Fire Risk management (minimum NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent).
• Experience of managing and delivering residential based compliance projects.
