The company operate throughout London to provide Protective Fire Services for both commercial and residential clients in all sectors, across all industries. The team have over a decade of hands-on experience in the fire safety industry so they can confidently advise on all aspects of fire safety from fire extinguishers and fire blankets to advanced fire detection alarms and Fire Risk management.
As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting Fire Risk assessments on commercial properties including offices, warehouses and other types of properties. You will also be responsible for developing strategies for fire prevention, planning fire safety procedures, and providing guidance on fire safety protocols to clients and stakeholders.
Summary of key responsibilities:
- The primary role will be to conduct Fire Risk assessments at clients premises commensurate with competence.
- Undertake fire safety surveys as directed.
- Undertaking administration duties as dictated by the company.
- Maintaining FRA compliance records.
- Assisting with other Fire Safety Duties.
- Liaising with current and potential clients.
- Willing to advance, learn and attend CPD Training.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Fire Risk Assessor or similar role in the fire safety industry
- Excellent knowledge of fire safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice
- Experience conducting Fire Risk assessments on commercial properties
- Ability to develop and implement fire safety strategies and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 3 years' experience (commercial and residential).
- Nationally recognised Fire Risk assessment course Level 3 minimum - Essential.
- Knowledge of fire doors and passive fire protection.
- Membership level of IFSM or IFE desirable (To be achieved).
- On a Tier 2 Competent Fire Risk Assessors Register (CFRAR) would be an advantage but not essential, however this would need to be achieved within 12 months.
- Good understanding and current working knowledge of the regulatory reform (fire safety) 2005.
- Fully conversant with IT - Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full clean driving licence.
- The candidate will be expected to be effective from day 1 to hit the ground running.
