ABOUT THE ROLE
Fire Safety Advisor – hybrid role with both office-based and homeworking
Up to £50,000 per annum plus 12% bonus scheme and company car
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Head Office Health & Safety team as Fire Safety Advisor.
In this role, you will devise and implement the Fire Safety Strategy for Center Parcs and oversee and maintain Fire Safety standards throughout the business. You will ensure strategy and actual standards are in line with UK and Irish legal standards and best practice and that they are sufficient for life and business protection, by the creation of an appropriate system of policy, risk assessment, training and audit.
This role will advise on Fire Safety in all aspects of the operation, as well as in new developments, innovations and capital expenditure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be required along with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders in relation to Fire Safety matters. The successful candidate will also need to hold a recognised Fire Safety/ Fire Engineering qualification and must have significant post qualification experience in Fire Safety - preferably some of which will be in a similar complex multi-site location open to the public.
You will be required to travel to our village locations situated within the UK and Republic of Ireland. This will include overnight stays when required.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest end time is 7pm.
Please note, this role will be hybrid with a mixture of office-based and homeworking. You will also be required to travel to our village locations situated within the UK and Republic of Ireland. This will include overnight stays when required.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
- Ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders in relation to Fire Safety issues
- Ability to deliver commercially focused Fire Safety advice with the confidence to escalate fire related risks where additional controls are required
- Strong people and interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, organise and work in a fast paced and results driven environment without compromising on integrity and quality
- Recognised Fire Safety/ Fire Engineering qualification – minimum Level 4 Certificate in Fire Safety or equivalent.
- Significant post qualification experience in Fire Safety preferably some of which in a similar complex multi-site location open to the public
- Experience of delivering fire training and creating less complex fire training programmes for delivery by others
- Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams and able to work with minimal supervision
