Fire & Security Engineer (5370)

Murray Recruitment has an excellent new permanent opportunity for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider.
Reporting to the Fire & Security Operations Manager you will be responsible for carrying out installation, service, repairs and maintenance works on Fire & Security systems to current British standards. This role will be covering contracts throughout the Edinburgh area.
Main Duties:
Carrying out inspection, fault finding, servicing, testing, repairs and installation of, Fire and Security systems, and all associated equipment.
Ensuring all work is carried out within the agreed SLAs.
Complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion to the required standards.
Complete and fully comply with the necessary Health & Safety training.
Comply with all company procedures associated with Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental aspects of the role.
Participate in the company on-call rota.
Skills & Experience:
Ideally holding a minimum of 2 years hands on working within the Fire & Security sector.
Must be able to demonstrate competency on several products across the fire and security disciplines.
Experience in carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within a busy FM environment.
Must be flexible in terms of working hours: (Core hours are Mon - Thurs 08.30 to 17.00 Friday 08.30 to 16.00).
Good communication with clients and being able to discuss the findings of their visit confidently and compliantly.
A full UK driving licence.
Possess the ability to work as a team member and to be capable of working independently.
