Summary of Role

Working as part of the Small Works Team you will review and critically understand a potential client’s requirements in order to prepare high quality professional submissions in line with the client’s timeframe requirements. You will play a major role to support the business in securing projects for profitable growth.

What you will be doing

  • Write persuasive, creative, compelling, factual and focused responses for bid opportunities including presentations and other quality related activities.
  • Working with and wider team in development of responses that are attractive, concise and bring out the benefits of our offer.
  • In conjunction with the Small Works Manager, prepare presentations for bid launch events and post-tender meetings.
  • Manage and communicate relevant market and competitor data.
  • Check the quality and consistency of responses in terms of themes, messages, key phrases, thread and key words.
  • Ensuring we learn from feedback and continuously improve our quality responses.
  • Effectively liaise with key stakeholders across the business to ensure access to accurate and up-to-date company information on structure, accounts, safety stats etc.

What we will need from you

  • Proven ability of creating and producing outstanding prequalification and tender responses.
  • Competent IT skills are essential, with experience using Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • An effective communicator both written and verbal, with a natural ability to present and influence.
  • An established collaborator with the ability to quickly build effective relationships internally and externally.
  • A good understanding and experience of the sprinkler engineering market.
  • Understanding and knowledge of BSEN:12845 standards and FM standards is essential.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Be a role model for Hall & Kay displaying our team and customer focused core values through your attitude, behaviour and endeavour.
  • To be flexible in terms of travel and working hours as there will be occasional nights away from home.
