Summary of Role
Working as part of the Small Works Team you will review and critically understand a potential client’s requirements in order to prepare high quality professional submissions in line with the client’s timeframe requirements. You will play a major role to support the business in securing projects for profitable growth.
What you will be doing
- Write persuasive, creative, compelling, factual and focused responses for bid opportunities including presentations and other quality related activities.
- Working with and wider team in development of responses that are attractive, concise and bring out the benefits of our offer.
- In conjunction with the Small Works Manager, prepare presentations for bid launch events and post-tender meetings.
- Manage and communicate relevant market and competitor data.
- Check the quality and consistency of responses in terms of themes, messages, key phrases, thread and key words.
- Ensuring we learn from feedback and continuously improve our quality responses.
- Effectively liaise with key stakeholders across the business to ensure access to accurate and up-to-date company information on structure, accounts, safety stats etc.
What we will need from you
- Proven ability of creating and producing outstanding prequalification and tender responses.
- Competent IT skills are essential, with experience using Microsoft Word & Excel.
- An effective communicator both written and verbal, with a natural ability to present and influence.
- An established collaborator with the ability to quickly build effective relationships internally and externally.
- A good understanding and experience of the sprinkler engineering market.
- Understanding and knowledge of BSEN:12845 standards and FM standards is essential.
- Full UK driving license.

- To be flexible in terms of travel and working hours as there will be occasional nights away from home.
