Opportunity experienced Passive Fire Protection Engineers / Fire Stoppers to join a well-respected Passive Fire Protection contractor, working on a secure government contract.
Our client is a leading provider of fire-stopping solutions across the United Kingdom and are currently working on a major contract to maintain and replace compartmentation lines to Government Buildings.
The business operates across various locations across the UK but is specifically looking to establish a team of Fire Stoppers to cover an extensive pipeline of projects in the North East and North West of England.
Given the live nature of the projects, we require all candidates to be conscientious, reliable, and clean individuals who will treat projects with respect and ensure that no mess is left.
Shifts: Twilight / Night Shift - 4:30 pm until 1:30 am
Location: North East and North West of England (Separate teams in each area)
Project Duration: Until April 2025 (with potential for extension)
Responsibilities: As a Firestopping Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out Firestopping works on compartmentation lines. Teams will consist of two individuals working as a pair, with one designated as the Lead Engineer possessing First Aid and SSSTS qualifications. All works are to be recorded on Bolster.
Travel: Whilst we will endeavor to keep you local, there must be a willingness to travel and work on projects nationwide occasionally.Projects spanning across the UK including key areas such as Wales, the Southwest, North East, and North West regions. Candidates in these areas, or willing to travel to these areas are encouraged to apply.
Accommodation: For local candidates (within 1 hour from site), travel to and from the site is expected. For those traveling further than 1 hour each way, accommodation will be provided.
Duration of Engagement: The initial engagement is until April 2025, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.
Security Clearance: Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks will be carried out before work due to the nature of the buildings.
Remuneration: Competitive rates will be offered based on experience and qualifications. We are looking for dedicated individuals committed to maintaining the highest standards.
Requirements:
- Experience in Firestopping works in a live environment.
- Lead Engineer must possess First Aid (3-Day) and SSSTS qualifications.
- All candidates must have CSCS, Asbestos Awareness a Valid DBS.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
