Shifts: Days 37.5 hours weekly
Salary: £29,000 to £32,000 per annum

Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield. Commutable from Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield.
Fitter / Assembler Responsibilities:
Responsible for assembling parts to ensure that all assemblies are correctly assembled in accordance with customer requirements and company quality specifications.
Carrying out various assembling and fitting principles (eg marking out castings, rudder pedal assembly, flap assembly), in order to ensure that all parts are correctly assembled in accordance with customer requirements and company quality specifications, therefore minimising scrap.
Read and work to engineering drawings.
Designing and producing mandrels, jigs and fixtures, where applicable, in order to assist with assembly requirements.
Ability to quality check own work using measuring equipment.
Carrying out daily and weekly TPM checks, to ensure machine and equipment is correctly maintained and to minimise breakdowns.
Carrying out continuous improvement, Lean and 5s activities in cell, to facilitate principles of Continuous Improvement throughout the company.
Essential Skills:
Mechanical Apprentice trained or qualified by experience.
Good working knowledge of quality standards and procedures, (ideally aerospace).
Good written and verbal communication skills.
