Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks

Redline have partnered with a business based in Leicestershire in their search for an experienced Contract Mechanical Design Engineer, proficient in Solidworks who can support them through a period of growth on an initial 6-month basis. The role allows for hybrid working, meaning you can split your time between the office and working from home.

This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC

Our customer is a globally-renowned business who have been around for over 100 years, specialising in the development of machinery and precision instrumentation to a range of industries, including but not limited to, medical, scientific and automotive. As a result of a number of major project wins, combined with a large product redesign programme, they are seeking a range of professional contractors.

You will join a team who are specialising in precision development, using experience in this area to support and influence how a product is completed. Existing designs will be created, changed, validated and produced as part of your remit, meaning you will see a vast amount of the design life cycle.

Key Skills required - Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks, Leicestershire:

- Proven experience of using Solidworks

- Experience of producing highly precise designs from a range of materials, mostly metals

- Experience of design for manufacture (dfm)

- Experience of FEA and other analysis methodologies is HIGHLY desirable.
