We are looking for a Health Determinants Research Partner to lead the Health Determinants Research Collaborative (HDRC) Team for Leicestershire. This role is pivotal in ensuring a successful transition to a full 5-year HDRC programme, implementing the Development Year Project Plan, and creating a sustainable infrastructure for co-produced research.
Day to Day of the role:- Lead the HDRC Development Team, ensuring the delivery of the Development Year Plan and transition to the full programme.
- Develop and implement research environment plans, workforce development strategies, community engagement arrangements, and research governance plans.
- Provide research and business intelligence relating to wider determinants of health and public health.
- Report on project progress to the HDRC Management Group and other senior groups.
- Ensure alignment with the Council’s wider Data and Business Intelligence Strategies and Service.
- Establish transparent and GDPR-compliant governance structures for research participation.
- Build a research-ready network of communities, stakeholders, and elected members.
- Support culture change in using research and business intelligence for service improvement.
- Proven experience in leading research projects, particularly within public health or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the wider determinants of health and their impact.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience in managing teams and developing research strategies.
- Knowledge of GDPR, HDRUK, ICO, and NIHR research policies and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to disseminate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of the role.
