Bringing it to the role.
We’re looking for a Fixed Asset Accountant to join our high performing Control team, reporting to the Capital Reporting Manager. The Fixed Asset Accountant is crucial in ensuring that our Fixed Asset registers accurately reflect the assets in use across our Equity estate enabling stakeholders to make decisions around Store remodelling and development. The role will support with the periodic Capital Spend reporting to a variety of stakeholders across the business.
What you’ll do
- Preparation of periodic Fixed Asset Registers and Reconciliation to trial balances.
- Control and capitalise Assets under construction, liaising with cross functional teams and Project Managers.
- Liaise with cross functional stakeholders to ensure Capital Spend budgets are adhered too and provided to the Capital Reporting Manager on a timely basis.
- Reconcile and manage differences between FAR and Ledgers
- Produce reconciled Fixed Assets notes for internal reporting
- Journals to capitalise expenditure.
- Running periodic depreciation
- Prepare all ledgers and registers with backing for the year end audits.
- Execute the Improving and documenting internal controls.
- Adhere to a period end process and ensure strict deadlines are achieved to support group reporting requirements.

ABOUT YOU
- Enjoy a challenging and fun work environment

- Strong communication skills to build relationships with cross functional teams
- Ability to deal effectively with personnel across all levels of the organization and external suppliers
- Strong IT/Systems Literacy, particularly using MS Excel.
- A passion for Systems and Process, and an eye for spotting potential for improvement.
EXPERIENCE
- AAT Qualified or working towards qualification.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Fixed assets experience is desired although not essential
