About the Role We require an enthusiastic Fixed Assetand Cash Flow Reporting Accountant to play an important role within the Financial Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Fixed Asset reporting for QMUL, including maintaining the Fixed Asset register, preparing the Fixed Asset notes in the financial statements and will be the main contact with the internal and external auditors for any Fixed Asset audit queries. The role includes physically verifying the existence of assets throughout the University across all campuses. The post holder will also co-ordinate the collation of financial information to prepare robust capital and operational cashflow forecasts and will be responsible for the submission of authorised payments files via bank software. About You The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant with experience of Fixed Asset accounting and the preparation of Cash Flow forecasts. Candidates should possess a sound knowledge of UK Accounting Principles and have a structured and logical approach to the completion of tasks. Experience of carrying out complex balance sheet reconciliations is essential. About the Department The role is based in the Finance Department of the Professional Services Directorate and is part of the Financial Accounting Team.
