Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client to recruit a Fleet Compliance Manager to join their team in Oxford.
As Fleet Compliance Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day compliance of the UK fleet, ensuring all legal compliance is accurately recorded and up to date whilst meeting all legislative requirements. Being a key member of the Fleet Steering Council, you will advise Senior Management on policy gaps, areas of concern, changes and updates to our ways of working.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead on compliance audits & monitoring, records, risk assurance, management of Operators Licenses and monitoring of OCRS scores.
• Ensure that Vehicle Operator License conditions are upheld and that the business is kept informed of any risks to maintaining them, including any prohibitions, tachograph infringements and maintenance requirements.
• Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the fleet of vehicles in full compliance with existing legislation, agreed policy, procedure, practice and documentation whilst highlighting areas for improvement to Head of Fleet.
• Liaise on internal and external compliance reviews and deliver recommendations in line with legislative and best practice whilst ensuring that corrective actions are taken within agreed timescales.
• Key member of Fleet Steering Council addressing policy gaps, areas of concern, changes and updates to our ways of working in line with legislative and best practice changes.
• Update and improve the Fleet policy to ensure strict adherence to safety, maintenance, process and procedures are followed.
• Work with key stakeholders and compliance liaisons to implement and monitor positive driver behavior and compliance systems whilst maintaining oversight of drivers' hours, walk around checks and defect reporting.
• Work with the Fleet Engineering Manager to ensure MoT s, Safety Inspections, Brake Tests, LOLER s, EICR s & F-Gas compliance requirements are met.
• Escalate any urgent or potentially serious issues, complaints etc with immediate effect to the Head of Fleet and other senior management as appropriate.
• Conduct fleet risk management reviews and work with the company Health & Safety Manager to produce and implement practical fleet, engineering and driver risk control recommendations.
• It should be noted that the above is not an exhaustive list and at various times you will be called upon to act in numerous different roles within the Company dependent on the Companies needs at that time.

Skills and Experience:

• CPC Manager (National / International) Qualification.
• Transport compliance background/experience.
• Credible communicator whilst being comfortable influencing senior managers.
• Focuses on continual improvement, challenges the status quo and leads discussions.
• Work collaboratively with other stakeholders such as operations, engineering and drivers.
• Proficient IT skills across common office programs along with telematics and compliance systems.
• Hold a full UK driving license.
