FLEET COORDINATOR

Our client is a reputable civil engineering contractor renowned for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the UK. With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability, our client plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining the country's essential infrastructure. They are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Coordinator to join their dynamic team.

Job Description: Our client is looking for an organized and proactive Fleet Coordinator to manage and oversee their fleet of vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the fleet, supporting project teams, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Monitor and track vehicle and equipment usage to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and servicing.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles and equipment comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with project managers and site teams to meet their fleet requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers.
  • Implement and monitor fleet management policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the procurement and disposal of fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide regular reports on fleet performance and suggest improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in fleet management or coordination within the construction or civil engineering sector.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license.
