Role Purpose
The Scottish Borders Council is looking for an experience Fleet Maintenance Manager.

We are seeking a candidate with a Transport Managers CPC, who is willing to be named on the operators' license, and has a mechanical qualification. A driving license, ideally with a category C entitlement, is also desirable for this role. As the Senior Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing 6 workshops and a team of 25 staff. You must have excellent leadership and project management abilities, as well as a vision and an inspiring "can-do" approach. You should be well-organized and have a strong sense of integrity.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and motivate your team, while driving improvements in the day-to-day operations of our Fleet Maintenance division. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will be challenged every day, but you will also be supported by a talented and passionate team.

Essential
Educated to degree level or demonstrate equivalent knowledge skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
Certificate Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage
Excellent IT Skills
Management or supervisory training and experience.
Health and Safety Nebosh or equivalent
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
