Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and qualified Fleet Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of our diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our fleet operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing best practices for cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to optimize the use, maintenance, and replacement of vehicles and equipment.
- Coordinate the acquisition, disposal, and replacement of fleet assets in line with budgetary constraints and operational needs.
- Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
- Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to maximize the lifespan and efficiency of vehicles and equipment.
- Supervise and lead a team of fleet maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to achieve high performance standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovations to enhance fleet operations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance, budget adherence, and future planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fleet management, with a track record of successful leadership.
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with fleet management software and technologies.
- Knowledge of environmental and sustainability practices in fleet management.
