At Gregory Distribution Ltd, as a result of continued growth, we have a vacancy for aFleet Managerbased at our BristolDepot.
The position will involve:
- You will be a key member of the Shared User operational team, reporting directly to the Head of Transport Planning and Fleet Support.
- Analyse the R&M spend and look to drive cost savings across all business area cost centres.
- Analyse and manage fleet damage with a view to reduce costs in conjunction with Operational Managers.
- Business area responsibility for optimisation of trucks and trailers during their lifecycle by:
- Managing the average mileage of trucks by working closely with operations to identify higher mileage trucks and organising movements to lower mileage operations and vice versa.
- Responsibility for identifying opportunities in the area to relocate vehicles and trailers no longer required by a particular operation.
- Leading operational teams to support any refurbishment and modification programmes liaising with the central fleet function and ensuring fleet is made available as required.
- Manage the areas requirement in line with seasonal fluctuations in customer volumes.
- Work closely with other members of the Group’s fleet team in terms of optimising the fleet and minimising total cost of ownership.
- Working closely with Operational Managers across the Business Area.
