The Role

If you are a confident, outgoing individual that has worked in a school this is a fantastic opportunity. Regardless of whether you've just finished school or university, becoming a cover supervisor/ HLTA provides invaluable experience and looks great on your CV. You don’t need to be a qualified teacher.

The role will entail you supervising pupils and carrying out pre-prepared lessons when teaching staff are on short-term absence. You need to have good communication skills, be highly flexible and enjoy working with children.

Though this is a flexible HLTA positions, there is a high chance of this becoming more long-term. There is no better way to be introduced to schools than to introduce you through gaining experience in a school setting, as they get to see you in action and you get to see whether the school is somewhere you see yourself working in the future.
