Warwickshire County Council is looking to appoint a Team Manager for Service Delivery within the Schools ICT Service.
About the team
Warwickshire County Council has a dedicated Schools ICT Service which is responsible for delivering technical and MIS services to Warwickshire Schools, Academies, Multi-Academy Trusts, Federations and other Local Authorities Schools.
The Schools ICT Service is a one stop shop offering procurement and installation services, technical support for servers and other devices, MIS support and training and a range of other ICT services. It is a fully traded service with an established customer base and a wealth of experience of ICT business requirements within the Education sector.
About you
The role does not require day-to-day operational technical ability, but you will have experience of managing technical teams and have a background in IT service management and an understanding of ITIL v4 best practice framework.
You must be able to work collaboratively and contribute to the operational planning of the service and ensure effective contract management arrangements are in place.
You must have excellent organisational skills to plan, task, deploy and co-ordinate resources to meet changing operational needs as required.
Thoughtful and clear communication skills are essential in this role.
What you’ll be doing
You will be
responsible for the delivery of a high-quality Service Desk, Technical Support, and Procurement offer in support of subscribing schools.
You will work collaboratively with peer managers to ensure strong and effective
governance of the ICT service.
You will be proactive in identifying and responding appropriately to changes in ICT technology, risk, and compliance.
You will work with the Service Managers for Digital & ICT and Strategy & Commissioning to identify strategic opportunities for the service to implement change and improvements effectively.
You will be responsible for ensuring adequate resourcing across the 3 service areas.
