Salary: GBP52,049 to GBP55,615 per annum.
Location: Your office base will be Chichester with a requirement to come in two days a week.
Contract: Permanent.
Working pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week. Flexible working options available, to be agreed with your line manager.
Employer Pension Contribution: 20.70% this alters per annum on 1 April.
Annual leave: 30 days holiday + Bank holidays = 38 days.
As the Flood Risk Management Team Manager, you will lead on the delivery of services for the County Council as Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) for West Sussex. This is an incredible opportunity to utilise your technical expertise, drive, and management and leadership skills to make a meaningful difference.
You will manage and develop a small team of professional staff, responsible for:
- reviewing and implementing the local Flood Risk management strategy.
- maintaining an asset register.
- consenting and enforcement for ordinary watercourses.
- cooperation and collaborating with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- undertaking technical assessments and developing deliverable plans.
- reviewing planning applications.
You will act as the professional lead for these services, advising Members, managers, and internal and external partners accordingly.
