In patient services - Bed management: Coordination of inpatient admissions, transfer and discharge across and between medical wards Act a principle contact with patients, health care professionals and other organisations to ensure an efficient, effective and value for money service is in place, maintained and developed Contribute to a consistently high standard of patient care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Work in collaboration with the Ward Manager and MDT staff to support the discharge planning process To assist in maintaining patient flow throughout the ward To act as a runner to ensure all necessary actions are undertaken and completed to facilitate efficient and effective discharge Management role within inpatient and outpatient services: Provides day to day management for ward clerks on the inpatient wards, when necessary Provides local training & induction for these staff, when necessary As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you.
