We are searching for organised, energetic, and enthusiastic restaurant and bar staff to join our team. Front of house Team Members are responsible for welcoming and seating customers, taking orders for food and drinks, preparing drinks if over 18 and once trained, checking on customers once items are delivered to tables and generally making sure our guests have a wonderful time in our restaurants.
To be successful as a front of house Team Member, you should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask whilst ensuring attention to detail. Top candidates will be able to perform well within a fast-paced restaurant environment located within a very busy theme park.
You will receive holiday pay as standard together with a monthly share of tips split amongst every Team Member against hours worked. You will have the opportunity to be added to our pensions scheme after 90-days. All Monterey Jack's Team Members have access to our online training academy in subjects covering all areas of the food and beverage industry, including licensing and food hygiene.
Team Member Job Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and seating customers
- Taking orders with absolute attention to details and accuracy
- Looking after the customers in your section from arrival to departure
- Cleaning the restaurant and bar before, during and after service
- Preparation of desserts in accordance with food safety regulations
- Sweeping and mopping floors, as required
- Assisting with the unloading of deliveries
- Storing ingredients according to industry food safety regulations
- Assisting with the monitoring of stock and date labelling
- Reporting all damaged or faulty equipment to the manager
Team Member Person Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar position desirable
- Level 2 Food Hygiene desirable
- Willingness to learn essential
- General knowledge of food safety procedures
- Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and team working
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to work shifts, particularly over weekends, and on public holidays, as needed
