No history background? No problem. What is important to us is a passion for people and excellent customer service. We want our staff to enjoy working with others as part of a team and understand what makes excellent customer service to create a warm and welcoming environment for our visitors, ensure great quality in everything we serve and help us tell more of English Heritage's story through its food and unique settings!
We are the organisation that looks after England's most important buildings and monuments, making sure our country's amazing history is available for everyone to enjoy. As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will help to prepare food and drinks from the best of regional and local produce, at Belsay Hall. Making sure all our visitors have a fantastic experience, you will prepare and serve a range of quality refreshments, working as part of a team to support the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlet. You will create a warm and welcoming environment for our visitors, ensure great quality in everything we serve and help us tell more of English Heritage's story through its food and unique settings!
Your duties may vary depending on the day, but you can expect to be:
  • Taking and preparing food and drink orders
  • Food preparation in our kitchen
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Ensuring a perfect standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout
  • Providing support during our events
We are hosting webinars for anyone who is interested to learn more about us, the different roles available at our sites, and what a working day might look like as part of the team. Hosted by colleagues from our visitor experience team, you will have the opportunity to ask questions or just listen, whichever you prefer!
