Summary The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes, tea-rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we'd love you to join us.   We’re looking for Food and Beverage Team Members to join us at the Children's Country House, Sudbury Hall. Wherever possible, we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we're looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We'd give you as much notice of this as possible. The role will include weekends and Bank Holidays, however, there are no evenings or split shifts.    Salary: £11.50 per hour, this is our anticipated salary from 1st April but is subject to final confirmation following the Trust's annual pay review process.   Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2025.   Interview dates: 18th to 24th March 2024. What it's like to work here Reporting to the Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, you'll be based at The Children’s Country House at Sudbury (Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE6 5HT), a visitor offer for children and families, offering a playful heritage day out. Recently reopened, we’ve been working alongside children and their families to design a heritage attraction that works for them and makes them feel engaged and empowered. We have the highest standards of conservation and care and we carry out this purpose with and for the children who visit us. You’ll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you’ll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that’s constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial. 
You’ll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You’ll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.
We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.  Who we're looking for No experience is needed, but we’d love to hear from you if you’re:
