We are inviting applications for the role of Food Health & Safety Tutor within the Offender Learning Sector in the London Borough of Islington. This is a compelling opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and community improvement. The successful candidate will mentor learners to enhance their Food Health & Safety skills, aiding their future employment prospects post-release. The role is based on-site and requires a candidate with patience, passion, and understanding.
Day to Day of the Role:
• Delivering high-quality, learner-focused vocational training in Food Health & Safety.
• Mentoring learners to develop their skills and knowledge in the field.
• Collaborating with a team of professionals to provide comprehensive support to learners.
• Engaging with learners to motivate and inspire them towards achieving their educational goals.
• Adapting teaching methods to suit the diverse needs of learners within the prison environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Significant experience in Food Health & Safety.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant vocational area.
• Willingness to gain a PTLLS qualification within 6 months.
• Commitment to obtaining an assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies within one year.
• Possession of at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or the commitment to achieve this within 1 year.
• Ability to obtain, hold, and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
