Contract: Full-Time Position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Salary: Competitive, Based on the M1 - M6 Teaching Scale AND Determined by Experience
As a Food Tech Teacher, you'll play a key role in shaping the culinary skills and knowledge of our students. Your passion for food and teaching will contribute to creating an engaging and practical learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality and inspiring Food Technology lessons to students across different year groups.
- Plan and organise practical cooking sessions, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in the kitchen.
- Foster a love for nutrition, food hygiene, and a healthy lifestyle through engaging and interactive lessons.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and experimentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning experiences.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' practical and theoretical work.
- Organise and oversee extracurricular activities related to food and cooking.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS certificate (essential).
- QTS or relevant teaching/education qualifications.
- Experience teaching Food Technology within a school setting.
- Passion for culinary arts and a creative approach to teaching.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
