we have an incredible opportunity to join our central production unit as a food technical assistant. our central production unit produce gyoza and sauces for our entire 160+ uk restaurant estate along with our franchises across the globe! this role is 5 days a week on site in east acton, london
we are looking for a someone who loves data + compliance, particularly around food science. you may be a food science grad or already have some experience working in food production. it’s essential that you have heaps of passion for wagamama the brand, this is somewhere you will have the opportunity to support our technical department with daily admin and maintenance tasks to ensure our restaurants are equipped with the food they need
key responsibilities |
- delivering the required food safety and food quality standards befitting of our brand
- conduct and report daily tasting panels and results
- support with internal audits
- identifying and investigating the root cause for any non-conformances and complaints
- support the technical department with daily administration and maintenance of all technical and compliance related data
- ensuring daily compliance with quality management system
- monitor, police and enhance supplier quality performance
- support on training programs, health and safety and food safety practices at cpu and warehouse
- quality control of ingredients into cpu and warehouse
- maintaining the relationship with 3rd party laboratories and service providers
the experience + personal attributes we are looking for |
- degree qualified in food science or equivalent
- at least 1 years experience in a similar role across food production OR recently graduated
- level 3 Food safety/HACCP
- a great understanding and passion for the wagamama brand
- strong administrative skills
- sound communication, being confident with internal + external stakeholders
- willingness to be flexible on days/hours worked
- not essential but experience with internal auditing is desirable
