This Secondary school based in South Birmingham are looking for a Food Technology Teacher to join the Department. Staff and student relationships at this school are characterised by warm and respectful. Pupils are happy and value the support given to them by staff. Overall, behaviour at this school is good and pupils focus on their learning well.
Your new job
As this is a long-term role starting in ASAP, you will be required to:

• Plan and prepare Food Technology lessons for pupils in KS3 and KS4 (potentially KS5 dependent on experience)
• Complete the marking and assessment of pupils' work, along with being involved with facility and department meetings
• You will deliver these lessons in a positive learning environment, ensuring all pupils are progressing consistently and achieving target grades.
• Have a focus on keeping high expectations of students' attainment and behaviour.

What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must:

• Possess Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status
• Have experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school. ECT's with Food Technology placement experience will be considered.
• You will possess excellent behaviour management skills.
• You will be keen to work as part of a team, share ideas and good practice.
• You will be available to start in asap and continue a long-term basis.
