Food To Go Kitchen Assistant - (Part Time - 16Hrs)

Spar Piccadilly is a 24 hour store in the heart of Manchester City Centre.

As a Food To Go Assistant you will be at the forefront of our store driving customer service. Although sales are important we want our customers to enjoy visiting our store and ultimately come back again, it is your job to provide help and assistance to the customer and ensure they find everything they need whilst in our store. Product knowledge is essential for you to respond to customer enquiries and also make appropriate recommendations.

Duties and responsibilities

• Working in our instore Food To Go. Training will be provided
• Operation and cleaning of equipment
• Demonstrates an ability to maintain stock levels in the FTG cabinet
• Maintain stock room hygiene and housekeeping standards
• Monitoring sales and ensuring all products meet quality standards through stock rotation to minimise wastage
• Has an understanding of customer service standards expected in store
• Knowledge of the stores sales, promotions etc.
• Demonstrates an awareness of their contribution to controlling costs
• Demonstrates an understanding of their rights and responsibilities within the team

Please be aware that from time to time there may be a requirement to work as a Retail Assistant in the store therefore the following extra key duties and responsibilities would form part of your role:

• Demonstrates an ability to maintain stock levels on the shop floor
• Operate a till confidently and effectively using cash handling procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience in retail is required. Candidates with Food To Go (FTG) or Deli Experience will be preferred.
• Helpful, friendly and comfortable working with the public.
• To be enthusiastic, committed and self motivated.
• To be able to work as part of a team but also on their own initiative.
• Hours of work are 16 hours per week (4 x 4 hour shifts): Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 4pm to 8pm.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour
