Are you a visionary leader with a passion for football and a track record of success in coaching? Greater Manchester Football Club is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a voluntary Head Coach. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new project where we at Greater Manchester Sports Club are looking to form a football team with the vision of ‘Changing the Goalposts and Innovating the Beautiful Game’

Role overview

As the Head Coach, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s performance on and off the field. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a winning culture, developing player skills, and elevating the overall standard of play within the organisation. This position requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of modern football tactics.

Key Responsibilities

Ø Inclusive team leader- inspire and lead a diverse group of players, fostering a sense of belonging

Ø Player developer- design and implement training programs to enhance individual and team skills

Ø Player engagement- foster a strong relationship with the players, providing support on and off the field

Ø Be match prepared- have game plans and collaborate with the coaching staff to optimise match-day preparation

Ø Media Relations- serve as the face of the team in media interactions and effectively communicate the club’s vision and values to the wider community

Qualifications/Skills

Ø Minimum UEFA C license / FA level 2 (or equivalent)

Ø Introduction to First Aid in football Qualified

Ø Safeguarding Children Qualified

Ø Approved Enhanced DBS (or willing to undertake one with the club/county FA)

Ø Preferably Proven experience as a Head Coach

Ø Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ø Passion for fostering diversity and inclusion within football

Note

This is a voluntary role, as for now, it will be unpaid, however, this is something can be re-visited at a later stage.
