There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Scotland East Division is looking to recruit Forklift Drivers to join the Division’s Construction team.
The Role
The role of Forklift Driver, reports to the Site Manager / Construction Manager and is responsible for the transportation of goods and pallets around the site.
Principal accountabilities of the Forklift Driver role include:
- Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles as they arrive onto site.
- Checking loads are secure.
- Ensuring work areas are well kept and safe.
- Comply with Site Health and Safety rules/procedures.
- At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills
Role Requirements
- Valid certification to operate forklifts.
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
Qualifications and Training
- GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS card
- Valid CPCS card
- Valid driving licence
Skills and Aptitude
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Excellent attitude towards health and safety
- Be reliable, productive, efficient and quality focussed in work and in personal standards to current industrial standards.
- Take responsibility for personal judgements and actions.
- Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Adhere to relevant health and safety legislation, codes of practice and apply safe working practices, including when working at heights.

The Role and Working Conditions
- You will work outside as part of our team so you will need to be enthusiastic, committed and willing to work in all weathers.
- Travel from job site to job site. However, may work at one job site for several months.
- PPE provided.
