KOMPAN’s Scottish office, based in Livingston, is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator/Warehouse Operative to join the operations side of the business to be responsible for taking deliveries of new playground equipment and preparing equipment to go out for our installation teams. The key objective is to support the efficiency and organisation of the warehouse and maximising our installation operative time on site.
Our ideal candidate will fit in with our small existing team, so personality is just as important as skillset. You will have a strong background in forklift operations working in a similar warehouse background. You will have a reputation for ‘being proactive and getting the job done’. The role
- Unloading: various size vehicles, communicating with drivers and the ISA back office.
- Loading: preparing equipment, tools and products ready for installation teams
- Organisation: Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including shelves and storage areas, to enhance efficiency. Manage materials to be recycled.
- Safety: Comply with safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of equipment and the safe handling of hazardous materials. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A valid FLT license with previous experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong organisational skills, flexibility, and multi-tasking are all key skills that will help you to succeed within this role.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to tasks to achieve efficiency and maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Clean, full driving licence.
