Are you looking for a job as a Fostering Recruitment Officer? Would you like to help recruit more foster carers for local authorities who urgently need more carers? Can you provide our potential foster carers across the region with a welcoming and friendly response to their enquiries? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for 3 highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our new and exciting Fostering Recruitment hub for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire due to open April 2024, as a Fostering Recruitment Officer. You will be part of this brand new project and team, and will find that no 2 days are alike. One day you might be supporting enquiries from people who want to know more about fostering on the phone and the next day you might be out meeting potential foster carers in the community. You will be responsible for recruiting and supporting potential foster carers from their very first steps in their fostering journey in providing safe and nurturing homes for children and young people in need.

As a Fostering Recruitment Officer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people. You will work closely with social workers, marketing officers, foster carers, and other professionals to ensure that we are finding the best foster carers for our children and young people in the care of the local authorities.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and have a knowledge of the local area. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure that potential foster carers feel supported.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people, and have the skills and experience we are looking for, working for Derby City Council we would love to hear from you. Please apply today and join our team of dedicated professionals!
