Overview

PURPOSE & IMPACT:

Delivering stable 90-100% Free Cash Flow Productivity is one of the key strategic Goals of NomadFoods.

This role assumes ownership of the Goal through robust management of key areas, including:

• Working capital performance management via strong cooperations with S&OP Team on inventory, Procurement & Indirects Teams on Payables and MUs on receivables. Generation of performance improving initiatives and driving their execution is critical in this role,
• Driving accurate cash flow forecasting and reporting processes,
• Delivering of the Cash Flow Annual Plan and Strategic Plan.

The position will sit within the Group FP&A team and will work closely with the Finance teams across the business, as well as other finance functions in Group Finance to deliver roles’ responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Strategic Planning, Competitive Intelligence, Benchmarking, Projects in the Strategic Planning process to ensure Cash Flow strategy is properly developed and that strategic choices are transitioned through to the Annual plan process. Cash Flow strategic planning covers Working Capital, CapEx
• Ownership of the Annual Plan Cash Flow process to ensure data is captured and analysed, and that actions are transitioned through to re-stated plans
• Run the working capital actuals and forecasting month end processes across the Group, to provide efficient reporting and analytics as required. Present monthly results and insights on working capital drivers to the Head of FP&A and other central stakeholders
• Continue to strive to optimise the efficiency, visibility, and accuracy of the underlying working capital and cashflow process
• Ad hoc training and onboarding for working capital contacts across the markets, and promotion of best practices across the network
• Own month end processes for the cashflow as required
• Prepare materials for the Cash breakthrough meeting
• Develop and monitor execution of the Cashflow improvement plan
• Present on working capital matters to all levels of management from the CFO down
• Support the tracking and reporting of acquisition performance and delivery (cost and synergy delivery) monthly linked to working capital and cashflow
• Drive implementation of an automated cashflow forecast. Support the implementation of working capital modelling tools. Big focus needs to be on establishment of a standard integrated forecasting model for the clusters/functions/group
• Support management with ad hoc analysis as needed
• The role assumes close cooperation with the Tax and Treasury team in the areas of cash flow forecasting and reflection of Tax & Treasury inputs in the forecast

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant
• Experienced commercial finance leader within FMCG environment
• 5-7 years of experience
