Anderselite is currently seeking a Framework Director for our client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor operating in the South West Water region, based in Devon. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the Framework Director for the South West Water Framework, engaging in strategic decision-making to ensure framework activities align with delivery, turnover, and profitability targets. Your focus will be on supporting and advising to enhance overall business performance, fostering a successful culture, and optimizing operational service and efficiency within the frameworks.
Reporting directly to the Director of UK Operations, your key responsibilities include:
• Leading all contract preparation and related client liaison duties.• Providing strategic and professional guidance to delivery teams throughout the framework lifecycle, from project identification to takeover.• Overseeing the successful delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to scope, target cost, quality, program, and completion, covering design, engineering, construction, handover, and commercial aspects to achieve flawless delivery.• Advising the project management team on project planning activities, presenting recommendations, and delivering project delivery status updates to key stakeholders.• Implementing and maintaining effective systems to measure operational, program, project management, and development aspects.• Leading, reviewing, and challenging project budgets and forecasts to ensure a consistent, challenging, and achievable approach.• Being accountable for and delivering high performance in health and safety, environment, sustainability, and quality, championing continuous improvement and best value while ensuring compliance with quality systems supporting the delivery philosophy.• Establishing and maintaining financial metrics, including outlooks, project/program development, project/program delivery, risk control, bidding, and management of all managers and delivery teams.• Providing the senior management team with advice and expertise on critical project issues and implementation.• Rigorously managing project costs, recording expenditures accurately, and implementing the business plan for projects.• Meeting with the Board/Client to review project financials, including cost to date, procurement, change orders, predicted final profit and contingency, and margin distribution.• Working closely with the leadership team to optimize global resource sharing, technical skills, and effective use of project best practices.• Providing direction, motivation, and leadership to internal staff, external consultants, or contractors engaged in technical support activities for the project.• Acting as a leader on technical engineering issues.• Forecasting long-term resource needs based on investment programs.
Experience/Skillset:
• Proven experience in a similar role with senior management responsibilities.• Strong strategic, operational, technical, and management skills.• Demonstrated leadership capability.• Client-facing joint venture experience.• Drive to establish and embed positive delivery within the Joint Venture organization.• Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering-related discipline.• Delivery-driven with the ability to set targets, manage, and motivate multidisciplinary teams to achieve time, cost, and quality objectives.• Experience in the Water/Wastewater Treatment Industry.
