The Role:


Oxfam is looking for Retail Fraud & Loss Prevention Advisor to work alongside the retail network. The role will build strong relationships with internal and external business partners to promote a strong Loss Prevention culture and deliver strategies to reduce Fraud & theft.


The role will become the first point of contact for retail Loss Prevention and will be responsible for conducting high quality investigations, support area teams with Loss Prevention training and attend project meetings to give Loss Prevention a voice.


The ideal candidate will be self-driven and able to prioritise workloads effectively. You will also:


  • Complete shop/site visits to review Loss Prevention standards
  • Conduct high quality investigations and casework
  • Be a point of contact for retail teams seeking Loss Prevention advice
  • Conduct training sessions to promote Loss Prevention good practice
  • Review ePOS reports/online sales for signs of misconduct
  • Support the development of Loss Prevention within retail

What we are looking for:


We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.


An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:


  • Good knowledge and experience of Loss Prevention, occupational fraud and corruption and its deterrence, prevention and detection.
  • Experience of conducting and managing fraud or corruption investigations, including conducting interviews with witnesses and suspects and taking witness statements.
  • Working knowledge of PACE, interviewing and statement.
  • Experience in delivering, designing and quality-assuring effective presentations, workshops and training.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Good knowledge of relevant legal frameworks, such as the UK Bribery Act 2010 and employment/labour laws.
  • Ability to travel regularly across the UK with a full UK driving license. Ability to travel to other parts of the world as may be required.
  • Ability to deliver through influencing and to work with volunteers.
