The Delta Hotels by Marriott Swindon is looking for a Front Office Manager to join the Front Office Department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Front Office Manager wanting to assist in ensuring all our guests have a wonderful stay at the world leading hospitality company. Responsible for all Front Office functions and staff. Areas of responsibility include Bell Staff, Switchboard Operations, Guest Services/Front Desk and Retail/Gift Shop, as applicable. As a department head, directs and works with managers and employees to successfully execute all Front Office operations, including guest arrival and departure procedures. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.

As the Front Office Manager you will…
Manages day to day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the hotel customers on a daily basis
Helps develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.
Handling guest issues and resolve conflicts and grievances.
Understands the impact of Front Office operations on the Rooms area and overall property financial goals.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals
Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees and guests.
Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
Ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and support the Peer Review Process.
Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example
The entry and retrieval of information contained in computer databases and the use of a keyboard, mouse, or trackball to update records, files, reservations.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including date stamping and distributing incoming mail.
Maintain computer and paper-based filing and organisation systems for records, reports, documents, etc.
Conducts department meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the Front Office goals to produce desired results.
Keeps Front Office team focused on the critical components of operations to drive guest satisfaction and the desired financial results.
Interviews and hires managers and hourly employee team members with the appropriate skills and in a timely manner to meet the business needs of the operation.
