We are looking for a Workshop Fuel Injection Technician to join our passionate team of technicians, on a permanent basis, located at our workshop in Segensworth, UK.

 

As a Workshop Fuel Injection Technician, following onboarding and sufficient training, you will be accountable for the daily operations of our Fuel Injection workshop and its ongoing success.

 

Your role and responsibilities:

 

In the role, you will be engaged in:

 

  • Repair and Overhaul – conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on Fuel Injection equipment and associated components.
  • Testing and Diagnosis - perform diagnostic testing and investigations on Fuel Injection equipment to identify any faults or defects.
  • Adjustment, Testing and Certification - carry out the necessary adjustments and testing to ensure on-engine performance. Record and certify all test results.
  • Health, Safety, Quality and Environment – perform all tasks in a safe manner and in adherence to health and safety standard (ISO 45001/2018).
  • Conduct all tasks in line with the latest instructions and to ISO 9001/2015 standards.
  • Aim for a first-time right approach, while remaining open to learning from any mistakes, and sharing lessons learned with the wider team.
  • Comply fully with all environmental regulations.
  • Record-keeping and Reporting – maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, testing and diagnostic findings to aid the production of high-quality Service Work Reports.
  • Track component history utilising our in-house traceability system.
  • Collaboration and Communication - liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure work scopes are kept within budget and specified delivery schedules.
  • Be an integral part of the workshop team, strive to achieve our common goals and customer deadlines (overtime hours may be required).
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement - stay up to date with the latest technologies, instructions, and guidance releases. Attend any workshops, training sessions, and review all technical bulletins.
  • Challenge working environments and processes, looking for improvements and implement positive changes.
  • Plant Maintenance - carry out proactive plant maintenance to ensure workshop reliability and continuity.
  • Training - gain competencies to perform at your best within the role.
  • Ad hoc - adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude towards “ad-hoc” duties.

You will shine in this role, when you have:

 

  • HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering or can demonstrate equivalent practical experiences.
  • Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or can demonstrate equivalent practical experiences.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety and Quality standards (e.g., ISO 45001/2018 and 9001/2015).
  • Proven experience servicing Fuel Injection equipment.
  • Team player who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Passion for excellent customer service.
  • Flexible approach to work.

We will require you to:

 

  • Have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Commute daily to Segensworth, Fareham.
