The Scientific Engagement Lead (SEL) will play a critical role in developing and implementing our key stakeholder engagement strategy and activities. Key stakeholders will include individual HCPS, MDTs and professional organisations. The SEL will report into the Senior Brand & Customer Manager (SBCM) to ensure strong strategical input and aligned tactical execution.
Key activities defined through the development of cycle priorities aligned to the strategic and operational requirements to deliver on the business aspiration – will include:
Monitoring the external environment (publications, clinician feedback, congresses, social media etc), the SEL will drive the integration of key scientific topics and insights into the commercial activities within the franchise.
Stakeholder plans to drive adoption of strategic objectives, behaviour change & advocacy for brand.
The SEL will deliver this through a range of traditional and innovative channels. Being a core member of the marketing team, integration and alignment with other campaigns and activities will be critical.
The SEL will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic partnerships with key professional groups and organisations within the therapy areas of responsibility. Moving beyond the execution of typical promotional activities, the SEL will identify common goals to create sustainable and value adding partnerships benefiting patients, our company and the NHS.
Supporting Medical Education activities by working alongside Scientific Leaders and Brand & Customer Managers to develop relevant content that drives advocacy for on-license indications.
Identifying ways to repurpose relevant content, finding synergies and participating in content creation.
Proactively seeking to engage external stakeholders in novel and compelling ways leveraging technology.
Planning and execution of filming at Conferences or National Medical Education webcasts; leading on the filming and post-production of video content that can later be used on-line in a promotional context.
Leading the ABPI certification of content via the Medical-Legal approval process.
Working with the marketing and external affairs team, the SEL will drive elements of internal awareness and disease awareness campaigns aligned to the therapy area.
Key Capabilities:
Understand, interpret and articulate key clinical data to ensure we can deliver value to patients through our engagements with the oncology community.
Input into strategic and operational planning through ensuring the voice and opinions from our external stakeholders are reflected.
Develop key relationships with Scientific Leaders, HCPs and professional organisations with alignment of strategic objectives and activities to educate and advocate for better patient outcomes.
Develop content and implement channel activities aligned to the delivery of the business aspiration.
Collaborate, lead and leverage the diversity of our individuals and cross-functional teams to deliver on our business aspirations through our engagement strategies.
