SalaryOverview: Join a reputable software company based in the South West as a valued member of their cloud-focused development team. We're seeking a skilled Full-Stack Java and JavaScript Developer to contribute to the evolution of our cloud-based products hosted on the Amazon AWS platform.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the development of cloud-based products on Amazon AWS.
- Enhance the Java back-end infrastructure.
- Develop and execute unit/integration tests to ensure the quality of deployed application code.
- Utilize static analysis tools to enhance code quality.
- Investigate and propose improvements to the cloud infrastructure.
- Enhance front-end usability and accessibility.
- Monitor systems for potential issues, and troubleshoot root causes.
- Contribute to the security of our cloud-based products through best practices.
- Assist in the creation of customer-facing product documentation.
Work Schedule and Benefits:
- 40-hour workweek, either in-office or remote (0830-1700).
- A three-month probation period requires full-time presence in the Cheltenham Office, with the possibility of remote work after this period.

Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience with solid Java skills, including exposure to Spring.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, with knowledge of ECMAScript 2015 or newer.
- Familiarity with Git version control system.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and investigative abilities.
Bonus Skills/Experience:
- Experience with Spring Java framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data).
- Proficiency in Linux (console level) operations.
- Familiarity with Amazon AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3).
- Knowledge of React or AngularJS front-end libraries.
- Experience with Jira and the broader Atlassian ecosystem.
