FTC until August 2024 GBP26k pro rata Plus GBP3750 car allowance - highly likely to go permanent from August 2024

Mainly based in Eastlands, Manchester - but will cover some centres in Broughton, Levenshulme etc.

The role of Functional Skills Tutor will involve classroom delivery across Manchester mainly in Eastlands with some cover in Salford/Levenshulme - delivering to unemployed adults preparing to work in a variety of sectors.

Our client are looking for a passionate Functional Skills and employability tutor ideally with experience of supporting unemployed customers. Your role will involve teaching and assessing learners to meet gaps in skills and knowledge and enable them to progress in their career aspirations. You will be delivering innovative learning opportunities to meet the needs of learners as identified through initial assessments and individual learning plans. You will be based at a Centre for delivery with flexibility of travel required if the need arises to deliver from different centres. Ideally you will be on the DBS Update Service and can start mid/late January 2024.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering English and maths from Entry level to level 1

• Delivering a suite of employability qualifications

• Group teaching following scheme of work and lesson plans

• Ensuring progress against the qualification is made in every session

• To deliver and embed British Values, Safeguarding & Prevent to all learners

• Motivate and inspire learners and work flexibly to meet the needs of learners

• Delivering the appropriate number of qualifications in accordance with company guidelines whilst maintaining paperwork to the minimum required standards

• Review learners' performance in accordance with contract guidelines

• Motivate/drive learners to achieve in line with agreed targets and deadlines

• Support the learning process

• Plan the assessment process with learners - observe/ record assessment and complete all relevant documentation
