Fundraising and Communications Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for you to take on a new role as Fundraising and Communications Officer, working closely with an amazing manager and working with some inspirational supporters and donors

This is a great role where you will have the opportunity to work as part of an amazing team, developing fundraising support from the local community and delivering regular communications with supporters.

This is a role where you could learn so much and expand your career to different income streams while delivering crucial support for the charity.

We’re looking for someone with experience in fundraising who is looking for a role where they can develop while utilising their Fundraising and Communications skills.

Fundraising and Communications Officer

Up to £26,000 on experience

Maidenhead, Berkshire with hybrid working

Full Time, Permanent

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of fundraising activities and events
• Grow fundraising income from community and voluntary relationships
• Research potential local and fundraising opportunities with community groups and businesses
• Act as a point of contact for donor enquiries and follow up leads in a timely manner
• Work with the Fundraising & Communications Manager to deliver targeted direct communications & marketing campaigns
• Use social media and online communications to increase the charity’s profile and encourage supporter
• engagement.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

• Proven experience working or volunteering within a charity fundraising environment
• Experience of building successful supporter relationships with donors and volunteers
• Ability to confidently communicate, positively influence and persuade people to support your own ideas
• Ability to motivate, inspire and lead supporters at various levels
• Experience in writing eye catching communications / marketing material to generate support
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the area and occasionally work unsociable hours
