Fundraising Manager - Grant applications and Community Fundraising for Holistic CIC (Extended application deadline: 15th March)
Hours: Approximately 8-10 weekly
Pay: Start at £12 ph

Post to start 15th March 2024 with training taking place immediately
It is essential that applicants can commit to a minimum of 2 years for this role
The Unity Centre, Lewes was established in 2019 offering services in yoga, dance, massage, meditation, and well-being. It has a floatation pool, an Infrared sauna, two treatment rooms, a vegan cafe, and two studios.
Offering many free services to those most in need of physical, emotional, mind & spiritual support.
The Unity Centre is run by Unity Lewes CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company with a core aim of providing wellbeing for our whole community inclusively, regardless of age, disability, status, family or financial situation. Sometimes this involves targeted and specialist projects for particular groups within our community.

Successful in grant applications, we require someone with considerable experience, passion, and commitment to join our wonderful team to establish further funding and work within the community to raise local awareness and public donations. This could also suit a recent graduate or college leaver who has studied Fundraising and will receive guidance as they enter the role.
Job description;
• Searching for relevant local and national grants eligibility on sites such as Sussex Grant Fund, Sussex Community Foundation
• Emailing and calling potential funders to discuss requirements and eligibility
• Writing and editing appropriate grant proposals
• Submitting proposals to deadlines
• Following up on grant submissions
• Liaising with professionals engaged in carrying out funded activities
• Keeping accurate records of invoices and receipts
• Completing project evaluations to the deadline, with all relevant paperwork and evidence of expenditure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, DropBox
- Local Fundraising skills and successful implementation

• Ability to keep calm under pressure
-Ability to work within a team
Preferred:
• Experience in grant research, proposal writing, and financial management
• Knowledge of holistic therapies: yoga, dance, drama, art therapy, and more
