About The Role

We are recruiting for a Regional Corporate Development Manager, an exciting brand-new role within our Regional Engagement Team. This role will help us to maximise our potential to raise income from corporate partnerships and be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for regional corporate new business and account management.
It’s an exciting time to join Regional Engagement as we trial some pivotal new ways of working looking to unlock our potential with a view to increasing our income and efficiency over the coming months and years. This role will play a huge part in helping us to achieve this and paving the way for our future.
The role is unique in that you will not only grow our regional pipeline (from prospecting through to pitch development and delivery) in the areas identified as having the biggest growth potential, but also support our fantastic team of community fundraisers to bring consistent ways of working and ensuring our first-class account management is our standard.
The role will work closely and strategically with the Senior Regional Fundraising Manager as well as building close working relationships with our National Corporate team to make sure our plans align.

This is a homeworking role, but you will be required to travel and attend some meetings and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our flagship offices (London, Birmingham, Warrington, and Belfast) alongside traveling within patch when required.

About you
We are looking for somebody with proven track record in identifying, cultivating, and winning new business over £25k within a corporate, commercial, marketing, sales, or fundraising background.
- You will be as comfortable pitching for new business as you are delivering account management support for our Community Fundraisers.
- Managing, monitoring, and developing a pipeline of new business will be second nature to you.
- Working autonomously and generating your own work will appeal to you.
- You won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo.
- You will be a confident communicator who can influence and negotiate at all levels and views feedback as an essential tool for development.
- You will understand the strengths and challenges of the varying regions we work within.
- You will have a passion for equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging and use this to harness and add value to the team’s diversity offers.
Person specification
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written [essential]
- Strong interpersonal and interpretation skills will allow you to have open jargon-free conversations with the business.
- Highly organised and can manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Be a team player, supporting colleagues when there are deadlines, and who knows when to ask for help themselves.
- Ability to collaboratively, develop strong relationships and influence to ensure effective fit for purpose business solutions.
- Be a self-starter and incredibly motivated.
