The Steve Ross Foundation for the Arts is an independent charity based at the Quay Arts Centre in Newport, Isle of Wight. Our charitable aims are the fostering and development of artistic knowledge, practice and understanding for the education of Adults and Children in the arts, creative practice and presentation, enriching wellbeing, and development.
This is a new and ambitious role. As we enter a phase of transformational change, you will be excited to join us, hit the ground running by achieving quick, early wins, whilst investing the time and attention to develop a sustainable fundraising infrastructure through trusts, partnerships, challenge events, and solicited donations from individuals and organisations. You should have at least 3 year’s experience and a proven record in raising 6-figure financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working alongside Quay Arts’ Centre Manager and Finance Manager to create and deliver a fundraising strategy which diversifies and ensures maximum ROI.
• Preparation and delivery of an operational targeted plan of day-to-day, seasonal, and annual fundraising activities.
• Secure significant unrestricted and restricted income through a variety of fundraising methods.
• Successfully manage and implement pipeline and bid writing for grant/trust applications.
• Deliver presentations to interested groups and attend business events as deemed appropriate.
• Manage support and develop imaginative fundraising activities which support the charity’s aims.
• Build collaborative working relations with Marketing Co-Ordinator and SMT to raise profile of charity.
What we are looking for:
• Minimum of 3 year’s experience in fundraising role with proven track record of financial results.
• Proven experience in building community fundraising partnerships.
• Experience in writing successful proposals and bids.
• Committed to the work of SRFA and QAT.
• Exceptional verbal and written communicator with the ability to influence, pitch and speak publicly.
• A self-starter and effective problem solver.
• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications.
