Job description

Dalcour Maclaren is an innovative and highly dynamic multi-disciplinary consultancy working on a huge range of exciting and diverse projects for a growing client base within Utilities and Infrastructure - think HS2, Offshore wind farms and Nuclear Energy! We are immensely proud to be working on some of the largest infrastructure projects taking place across the UK (and beyond!) which are instrumental in shaping the future of our planet. If you want to play your part in helping the earth become more sustainable, and to reach NetZero by 2050, you would be making the right choice by joining the team here at Dalcour Maclaren.

We are looking to recruit a Future Talent Manager on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover a maternity leave within our Talent Acquisition Team.

The successful candidate will manage the effective delivery of DM's Future Talent Programmes from candidate attraction, screening and assessment, through to associated engagement and events initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring a 5* experience for all Future Talent candidates, inclusive of Work Experience, Work Placements, Apprentices and Graduates, in addition to delivering the organisation a pipeline of high calibre candidates across the different sectors and services in order to satisfy the wider business growth ambitions.

Please Note: due to the rural location of our office, the successful candidate will need to have a full UK driving license and their own transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with relevant stakeholders to establish the target numbers for graduates, apprentices and work placement students on an annual basis, tracking progress and any changes on the Recruitment Tracker.
  • Proactively manage the Further and Higher Education advertising processes and portals for Placement/Graduate/Apprentice opportunities, ensuring effective and timely execution in line with associated seasonal hiring windows.
  • Promote the career opportunities available within graduates and school/college leavers, ensuring that best use is made of any time and resources directed at school and university liaison activities and events (Careers Fairs etc…)
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team on all Future Talent attraction and engagement activities.
  • Contribute ideas for fresh, innovative Future Talent attraction and engagement initiatives which align with DM's values, and position us as 'front and centre' from an Employer Brand perspective.
  • Manage the Future Talent candidate application journey, from reviewing CV's through to initial screening calls, offers and feedback in line with set SLA's.
  • Manage the effective organisation, facilitation and delivery of all Future Talent Assessment Days.
  • Act as primary point of contact for all existing Future Talent DM employees, encouraging a culture where ideas can be shared and executed effectively.
  • Report on Future Talent activity through regular data reporting, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to candidate experience and recruitment process.
  • Carry out all exit interviews for Future Talent leavers.
  • Contribute to the overall Talent Acquisition Pillar goals, in addition to wider People Team projects.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Future Talent and/or Early Careers Manager.
  • Knowledge around Future Talent best practice and/or legislation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Be highly organised and have a proactive approach to day-to-day tasks.
  • Have great IT skills and be confident with Microsoft products.
  • Ability to present data and suggest recommendations based on themes and insights.
  • Be a great team player and have a can-do attitude.
